How do I use my mosque's prayer timetable in the Tanzil app?

In shortOpen Calculation method, scroll to Mosque timetables, tap Add a mosque timetable and choose the PDF. Check the table it reads, then tap Use this timetable.

Steps

1. Open Settings → Prayer times → Calculations → Calculation method and scroll to Mosque timetables at the end of the list.
2. Tap Add a mosque timetable. If you are not signed in, Tanzil asks you to Sign in first: an account is free.
3. Tap Choose a PDF file and pick your mosque's or Islamic board's timetable for the whole year, for one place, as a PDF of up to 30 MB.
4. Wait a minute or two while it is read. You can leave the page: the timetable waits for you in the list.
5. On Check the timetable, compare a few days with the printed one. Each prayer shows the column it was read from, times that don't look right are marked, and you can correct the name and the year. If the timetable gives two Asr times, choose the one you follow.
6. Tap Use this timetable, or Don't use it if the times do not match.

Good to know

• The app then shows the timetable's own times. Adjust times still works, and Asr calculation method shows the Asr column you chose.
• Tap a saved timetable in the list to use it again; its ⋮ menu has Rename and Delete. Deleting the one in use turns Automatic back on. You can keep up to five.
• When you are far from where you added the timetable, the Prayer tab says so once: its times are for that place.
• When the year runs out, last year's times are shown for the same dates and the Prayer tab offers Add this year's timetable.
• Timetables are read by an AI model on Tanzil's server, and the file is deleted after reading. A file someone has already added is ready at once. Saved timetables stay on your device and are not synced.

Why was my timetable not added?

It may hold several towns, not cover a whole year, lack a time such as sunrise, or be hard to read. The app says which; a clearer copy, or a file with one place's table, usually works.
